0.7 mm must be taken into account from the matwell size to the external frame size, as the corner connectors of the frame need to be accommodated. From the external frame size to the mat, 1 cm is taken into account for the expansion tolerance and 0.5 cm from the internal frame size to the exact mat size. For orders with exact mat sizes, the expansion tolerance must be considered by the customer.

For outdoor use - mats with cassette brush, grooved rubber and brush strip are all suitable. For indoor use - ribbed carpet, brush strip, cassette brush or scraper bar mats are suitable. *All designs are also possible in alternation.

It is not absolutely necessary to have a matwelll frame, but we do recommended one is installed, as the frame will protect the edges of your floor covering, and it rounds off the overall appearance. Our matwell frames are available for all mat heights, in either aluminium or stainless steel.

The dirt collection tray made of stainless steel (V2A) or aluminium offers extended dirt collection and ensures regulated water drainage. Dirt collection trays are usually only recommended for outdoor/uncovered areas.

This depends on the mat height and design. Top Clean TREND aluprofilemats can be crossed over by between 350 kg and 800 kg, depending on the installation height. Top Clean STABIL aluprofilemats can be crossed over by vehicles weighing between 1,000 kg and 1,600 kg, depending on the installation height. Top Clean OBJEKT aluprofilemats (only available in height 22 mm) can be crossed over up to 2,500 kg. Top Clean HIGH aluprofilemat (only available in height 42 mm) can be crossed over up to 3,000 kg.

The fire protection classification depends on the matting insert. I.e. our fine ribbed carpet and grooved rubber correspond to the fire protection classification Cfl-s1.

Depending on the matting insert, the mats have slip-resistant properties from R9 to R13 according to DIN 51130.

This depends on the respective building regulations, the upper material and the frequency of use. Top Clean TREND is recommended for entrance areas without delivery traffic, e.g. office buildings, public buildings, kindergartens, etc. with only pedestrian traffic. Top Clean STABIL is recommended for very heavy traffic and high levels of delivery traffic, e.g. for shopping centres, airports, supermarkets with delivery entrances. For barrier-free entrance areas, we recommend mat systems with ribbed carpet alternating with brush strips or only ribbed carpet for indoor areas. For outdoor areas, we recommend mat systems with grooved rubber alternating with brush strips or grooved rubber only.

Yes, as these are calculated. Curves and diagonals per linear metre and gaps per piece. If this is not taken into account, the trade commissioned to carry out the work would have to register an additional charge. If you have a plan / floor plan, please send it to us. Mats weighing 40 kg or more should be divided in the walking direction if possible. From a width of 300 cm, the mats must be divided into profile length, or they become too unwieldy and heavy to insert and maintain. Profile length divisions should be made outside the main traffic routes. Our team will gladly advise where mat divisions are required.

For multiple occupancy buildings i.e. apartment blocks/flats, we recommend three-zone cleaning (coarse dirt - outdoor areas, intermediate and interior areas). When chosen correctly, an effective entrance matting system helps to significantly reduce the amounts of dirt and moisture that can enter a building and thus also protects valuable floor coverings.

It is essential to ensure that a pressure-resistant substrate is available. Either the tray system is embedded in the freshly laid mortar bed or a compacted, pressure-resistant gravel layer is used as the substrate, which is filled with a chippings mixture (3-6 cm thick). Depending on the substrate, the tray can also be glued down with a commercially available installation adhesive approved for outdoor areas.

Yes, this is possible without any problems. The ribbed carpet strips and inlays are available separately. If you wish, we can take care of the exchange for you.

The installation of the frame is explained clearly in our 2-minute video clip on GEGGUS TV (please click 'Services', then 'Geggus TV'). Please note, a prerequisite for a long service life of the mat is the correct installation of the frame. The surface on which the mat rests must be completely flat.

It is essential to repair any unevenness in the mat well prior to installation. For a long service life of the mat, the screed must be absolutely flat. When installing, please ensure that the angle frame is flush with the floor covering or screed. The supplied corner connectors must be screwed down accurately to size.

We give a 10 year guarantee on the construction of our mats. Wear parts / wear materials such as ribbed carpet insert are excluded from the guarantee.

Despite fabrication being in Germany, as a leading entrance matting manufacturer, we can generally fabricate and deliver an entrance mat to Ireland within 7 – 14 working days. Express delivery options are available for time critical orders.

Please provide accurate measurements for the pit size, external frame and internal frame - or the exact mat sizes. If you give us the pit size, we deduct 0.7 mm from the external frame size because of the corner connectors. From the external frame size to the exact mat size, 1 cm is taken into account for the expansion tolerance, and from the internal frame size to the exact mat size 0.5 cm. If you just provide us with the exact mat size, you must make sure that you have taken into account the expansion tolerance. The following must also be specified: profile length (cm) x walking direction (cm) x height (cm). We cannot orientate the entrance mat simply on length x width.

Yes. We normally ship by a standard courier service of ( 5 - 8 days from Germany), but an express 2 day delivery is available - subject to an additional charge.

Yes, please always specify the desired colour(s). Due to different colour and combination possibilities, we need the colour details at the latest when ordering. For Aluprofilemats with two inserts (for example, alternating ribbed carpet and cassette brush), we need the colour details of both inserts.

The shipping costs vary, as the items are bulky goods. Decisive factors are weight, length and number of bundles, possibly costs for express delivery. Please contact your sales representative to discuss.

A special shape includes curves, gaps and diagonals, the production of which is associated with additional costs. Please provide us with a drawing, which we will then convert using our CAD programme and send to you for approval. Production can only begin after your approval.

As a leading manufacturer, we produce and ship the goods (from our Geggus factory in Germany) in just 5 - 8 working days. Current turnaround depends upon production capacity/order urgency.

Upon receipt of order, you will be given the dispatch date. Depending on order size, delivery can take between 3 – 7 working days from dispatch (dependent upon courier and region).

Typically, multi part entrance mats and accessories such as dirt collecting trays are shipped in separate packages (due to shipping constraints). It is likely that the courier will deliver the rest of the goods the next working day. Please do contact us and our team can help locate your goods.

It is recommended to clean the mat and the mat bed regularly. The frequency of maintenance depends on the frequency of use and the degree of soiling of the mat. Normally, vacuuming with a hoover is sufficient. Extremely dirty mats can be cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner. To dry, place the mat vertically and allow it to dry completely.
